Beaches of Goa
The Beaches at Goa are amazing . My visit to Goa was a dream come true . The Beaches are Paradise and Goa makes you feeel refreshed. It was truly Paradise for me .It is definitely a tourist spot. The Calangute Beach is the most Popular Beach for tourist visitors in Goa.It is had another name which is the "Queen Beach".The name Calangute comes from the word koli gutti which is the local language of the people of Gos Koli-gutti means fisherman's Land.Another Popular Beach at Goa is the Palolem Beach this beach is a great beach for sunbathing and also fishing.There are also many Bars for those who enjoy alcohol or just enjoying yourself and pampering your taste buds with tasty food near this Paradise Beach.The Anjuna Beach is also amazing which is in the north of Goa,near the capital Panjim,it is a great place for swimming and activities ,there are many stalls near this beach selling clothing,souvenirs and handicrafts.Then the Baga Beach is also a popular beach at Goa.At Baga beach you will find stalls selling awesome Goan dishes and also the local drink Feni to make you merry.The Baga Beach has an interesting nightlife at night you can hear music and enjoy yourself at this wonderful Beach at Baga.The Candolim Beach is another amazing Beach to visit .The Dona Paula Beach is just 7 km from Panjim which is the capital of Goa . The Dona Paula Beach has an interesting history .This is a great Beach for sunbathing and cool water activities.The Colva Beach is also amazing for tourist visitors.You also have the Agonda Beach which is near the town of Madgaon also known as Margao.The Arambol Beach is also a great place to visit near the town of Mapusa.The Benaulim Beach near the town of Margao,is a great beach for swimming,sunbathing and shore activities.The Betul Beach is a peaceful beach to visit .it is a good beach for fishing.The Bogmalo Beach is popular beach near the town of Vasco da Gama.The Canaguinim Beach is an amazing picnic spot.The Velsao Beach near the town of Margao is a great beach for sunbathing and sea activities.The Patnem Beach is also a popular beach near the town of Colom.This is a great beach for surfers .itis also known to be a "Surfer's Paradise.You will find a lot of nearby Shacks nearby the beach selling delicious snacks and food for you to munch and enjoy your view of the amazing Beaches at Goa . Marina Beach / India/Tamil Nadu
The Marina Beach is situated in India, along the Bay of Bengal,The beach is near Fort St. George in the north to Besant Nagar in the south, This beach lieas at a distance of 14 km. it is known to be the longest beach in the country. This beach is also a part of the Indian Ocean.
History of the Marina Beach
The Marina beach was just a strip of sand and mud before the Madras harbour was built.Sir Mountstuart Elphinstone Grant Duff built the promenade in 1881. In the year 1885 the construction was almost complete and the governor named it Marina.
Attractions
Marina beach is a Popular tourist attraction. People visiting Chennai make a point to visit the beach. The beach is popular for its food stalls and shops. It is a good beach to have fun with your family and also a relaxing spot.It isnot a safe place to swim as there are no lifeguards here.You can visit the amazing Aquarium nearby and a lot of interesting places for visitors near by such as the MGR Samadhi, the PWD building and The Vivekananda House.
Best time to visit
The Beach can be visited the whole year ,but the months between November to March is the best suited time to visit this Amazing Beach.
